It appears that the City may have found a buyer for the Aquinas property. If all goes as planned, the convent will be saved and an additional floor will be added. The entire school will probably be torn down and housing will be built on the property. I believe the plan is for 55+ housing. The building is too far gone to be saved.

Just got an email back from Mayor Stewart. Several alums have asked about salvaging the stained glass windows over the main entrance on Kelsey Street. He assures me that we will have an opportunity to try to save things before the building is demolished. Should make some people happy. JOE
